REFUND POLICY
Clear rules before the night begins.
This Refund Policy applies to purchases made directly from Toronto Music Week™. If a venue, organizer or third-party ticketing provider is the merchant of record, that provider’s refund and cancellation policy may apply instead.
1. Event tickets
Except where a refund is required by law, stated on the event page, or approved by Toronto Music Week or the responsible organizer, event-ticket sales are final once the order is completed.
- Cancelled event: if Toronto Music Week is the merchant of record and the event is cancelled before it occurs, we will provide the refund required by applicable law and the purchase terms to the original payment method.
- Postponed or rescheduled event: tickets will generally remain valid for the new date. Any refund window offered for a rescheduled event will be communicated to affected purchasers.
- Lineup, set time, venue-room or program changes: event programming can change. A change does not automatically create a refund right unless the event-specific terms, the responsible organizer, or applicable law provides otherwise.
- Denied admission or removal: a refund is generally not provided where entry is refused or a guest is removed for an invalid/duplicated ticket, failure to meet disclosed age or identification requirements, intoxication, unsafe or disruptive conduct, violation of venue rules, prohibited items, or other breach of the Event Terms, except where required by law.
- Third-party tickets: tickets purchased through another ticketing provider are governed by that provider’s checkout terms and refund process. Toronto Music Week may assist with information but cannot guarantee a refund that another merchant controls.
2. Toronto Music Week memberships
Toronto Music Week and TMW Black are recurring membership offerings when recurring billing is enabled by the checkout provider. You may cancel future renewal through the available account/billing controls or by contacting us.
Cancellation normally stops future renewals and leaves access active through the end of the paid billing period. Amounts already paid for a billing period are generally not prorated or refunded after that period begins, except where required by law, where a checkout-specific cancellation right applies, or where Toronto Music Week expressly approves a refund.
Nothing in this Policy limits cancellation or refund rights that cannot legally be waived.
3. Reservations, booths and table deposits
Submitting an Toronto Music Week reservation or booth form is a request only and does not create a confirmed booking or charge by itself.
If a venue, organizer or Toronto Music Week requires a deposit, minimum spend, prepaid package or service fee, the amount, merchant, cancellation deadline and refundability should be disclosed before payment. Venue-controlled deposits and table payments are subject to the venue’s terms. No-shows, late arrivals, reduced party size and cancellations after a disclosed deadline may result in loss of a deposit or fee where permitted by law.
4. Refund requests and timing
To request a refund from Toronto Music Week, email info@torontomusicweek.com with the purchaser name, order number, event or membership, and reason for the request. We may request additional information to verify the transaction.
If approved, refunds are sent to the original payment method whenever reasonably possible. Processing time after approval depends on the payment processor and financial institution.
Taxes, service fees and processing charges will be refunded where required by law or where the applicable purchase terms say they are refundable. We will not describe a fee as non-refundable where doing so would conflict with applicable law.
5. Chargebacks and duplicate payments
If you believe a charge is unauthorized, duplicated or incorrect, contact us promptly so we can investigate. Nothing here prevents you from exercising rights available through your card issuer or applicable consumer law.
This Policy is intended to explain Toronto Music Week’s commercial refund practices. Mandatory rights under applicable consumer and ticket-sales law apply regardless of this Policy.
